We are seeking to appoint a Research Assistant who will be required to assist in running a
clinical pain research program aimed at improving the treatment of pain following spinal
cord injury and other conditions. The research uses brain imaging, clinical
electrophysiological testing and non-invasive brain stimulation. You will be involved in
duties associated with conduct of clinical trials including the recruitment of subjects,
liaising with collaborators, organisation of appointments, data collection and record

Macquarie Neurology, Sydney, NSW
Macquarie Neurology is private practice affiliated with Macquarie University Hospital.
Macquarie Neurology provides an outpatient and inpatient neurology consultation for
adults, including dedicated clinics for Motor Neurone Disease, and particular interests in
Parkinsons disease and cognitive neurology. It also offers a full range of
Neurophysiology investigations including NCS/EMG, all modalities of Evoked Potentials and
EEG. In addition we also perform intraoperative monitoring at Macquarie University
Hospital.
An experienced Permanent Part- time Neurophysiology Technologist is required initially 3
days a week. The successful applicant will be responsible for performing intraoperative
theatre monitoring and other neurophysiology as required. Diploma in Clinical
Neurophysiology (RMIT) or equivalent is essential.

The position of Manager of Neurophysiology exists within the Division of Medicine, Central
Coast Health Service and covers the sites of Wyong and Gosford Hospitals. The position is
in the Neurophysiology department and provides EEG, MSLT and EMG/NCV studies for
inpatients and outpatients within the Central Coast area.
Qualifications
& Skills
· Recognised qualifications in
Neurophysiology (Dipl.Neurophysiology or equivalent)
· Extensive and varied clinical
experience
· Extensive experience in the
management of neurophysiological instrumentation
· Experience in staff and/or
service supervision
· Experience in student supervision
· Demonstrated understanding and
commitment to Quality Management, OH&S and EEO.
· Demonstrated written and verbal
communication skills
· Current NSW drivers license or
equivalent
